Augmented Reality

In Spring 2016 I designed a website for my research group that was based in UT Austin’s Digital Writing and Research Lab (DWRL). The focus for our group during this semester was augmented reality, which the DWRL placed under the umbrella category of locative media.

As I explain on the website, “The Augmented Reality research group in UT Austin’s Digital Writing and Research Lab created this website as an online resource for scholars who want to better understand augmented reality but who may not know where to begin. In addition to teasing out the definitions of augmented reality and its similar counterparts (e.g., virtual reality),  we explore some subtopics that may be of interest to humanities scholars, and we offer two chronological sets of theoretical contributions to, respectively, locative media and augmented reality that are specifically geared towards academic research.”
